AI Subscription Troubleshooter: Fix Missing Plans, Limits & Billing

Paid for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Grok but the plan is missing, a limit appeared, or the billing route is unclear? This AI subscription troubleshooter turns the most common post-purchase problems into a provider-specific checklist. It helps you identify the account, device, storefront, and official support path before you pay again.

How to use the AI subscription troubleshooter

Choose the AI service first, then choose the symptom that best matches what you see. Finally, tell us whether the purchase was made on the web, through Apple, through Google Play, or through X Premium. That last answer matters because the company that displays the AI feature is not always the company that controls the charge, cancellation, receipt, or refund.

  1. Start with the account identity shown in the app or website. Compare it with the email or account named on the receipt.
  2. Confirm the purchase route. A web subscription, Apple subscription, Google Play subscription, and X Premium subscription have different management screens.
  3. Follow the checklist in order. Do not skip straight to buying another plan or opening a second account.
  4. If support is needed, prepare a transaction ID, purchase date, account email, and a redacted receipt. Never send a password, API key, session token, or full card number.

ChatGPT paid plan not showing

Start with the OpenAI account and sign-in method that made the purchase. A different email, Google/Apple login, or workspace can look like a missing subscription.

Recommended order

  1. 1. Sign out and return to chatgpt.com/auth/login using the exact email and the exact login method used at checkout.
  2. 2. If you paid through iPhone or iPad, open the ChatGPT app settings and use Restore purchases. Web purchases are managed on chatgpt.com.
  3. 3. Check the plan and payment area in the correct account or workspace. Do not subscribe again until the original charge is identified.
  4. 4. If the plan is still missing, contact OpenAI Support while signed in to the billed account and include a redacted receipt or order ID.

This is a diagnostic sequence, not provider support. Never send HiseHub a password, API key, session token, or full payment card number.

What this AI subscription checker can and cannot do

This tool does not connect to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Grok accounts. It cannot see a receipt, change a plan, or promise a refund. It turns the most common failure points into a decision tree so you do not pay twice or contact the wrong company.

01

Identity before payment

Different sign-in methods can create different accounts. Check the email and login method that made the purchase before troubleshooting the app.

02

Purchase route matters

Web, Apple, Google Play, and X billing systems do not share the same cancellation, receipt, or refund controls.

03

Limits are not always billing bugs

Usage caps can depend on the model, feature, rolling window, weekly allowance, or service capacity. The right fix may be waiting or switching mode—not buying again.

04

Support with useful evidence

When you escalate, share the provider account email, order ID, date, and a redacted receipt. Never paste a password, API key, or full card number.

AI subscription troubleshooting FAQ

Why does a paid plan still show as Free?

The most common causes are a different account or login method, a delayed app-store receipt, a failed renewal, or a workspace mismatch. Select your provider above to narrow the order of checks.

Should I buy the plan again if it is missing?

No. Confirm the account and purchase history first. A second purchase can create two active subscriptions and make a refund request harder.

Can HiseHub check my account or issue a refund?

No. HiseHub never asks for account access. Only the provider or the store that charged you can inspect the transaction, cancel it, or decide refund eligibility.

Why a paid AI subscription may still show as Free

A missing plan is often an identity or provisioning problem rather than a new payment problem. Signing in with an email and password is not always equivalent to choosing Continue with Google, Apple, or Microsoft. Providers may treat those methods as separate accounts even when the visible email looks familiar. A second browser profile, a different Google account, a different X account, or a team workspace can create the same confusion.

On mobile, the store receipt is another layer. The Apple ID or Google account that paid must be the one whose subscription is being restored, while the AI app must also be signed in to the provider account that received the purchase. This is why reinstalling the app rarely fixes the underlying mismatch. Verify the account and the receipt first, and avoid a duplicate charge while the original transaction is still unresolved.

Usage limits are not always billing failures

AI services can show a limit because of a model-specific allowance, a rolling usage window, a weekly cap, a feature quota, a context or file limit, or temporary capacity controls. The correct action may be to wait for the displayed reset, choose an available model, reduce a long task, or check the active plan. A payment receipt cannot remove a limit that belongs to a different account, and upgrading without identifying the message can create unnecessary spend.

Cancel or request a refund in the system that charged you

Use the billing system named on the receipt. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Grok may be managed on their own web billing pages, but app-store purchases generally remain under Apple or Google Play subscriptions. X Premium purchases follow X’s subscription controls. Deleting an app, signing out, or removing a payment card does not necessarily cancel a recurring subscription. The checklist links to official help pages so you can confirm the current procedure and eligibility before submitting a request.

What HiseHub does—and does not—check

HiseHub does not connect to AI accounts, inspect private billing records, or issue refunds. The tool is a privacy-first decision aid based on public provider instructions. It does not ask for login details and it does not store the choices you make in the form. Provider interfaces, plan names, limits, and eligibility can change, so use the linked official help center as the final authority. If a provider asks for evidence, redact card numbers and unrelated personal information before uploading anything.
