If a paid Grok plan does not appear, identify both the account and the billing platform before purchasing again. SuperGrok bought on grok.com, a mobile app-store subscription, and X Premium are managed through different billing systems.
| Where you subscribed | Where to manage it |
|---|---|
| grok.com | Grok Settings → Billing, or the billing page while signed in |
| Apple App Store | Apple Subscriptions; Apple handles app-store refunds |
| Google Play | Google Play subscriptions; use xAI’s refund route where applicable |
| X Premium or Premium+ | X manages the subscription and applicable refund process |
1. Confirm the active Grok account
xAI says Grok conversations, settings, and subscriptions sync across platforms when you sign in with the same account. If the subscription appears on one device but not another, compare the account shown in Grok settings on both devices.
- Check whether you signed in with X or with an email-based Grok account.
- Verify the address or X identity used when paying.
- Sign out once, then sign back in with the original account.
- Do not create a second purchase while investigating.
2. Separate SuperGrok from X Premium
SuperGrok is xAI’s paid Grok plan. X Premium and Premium+ are X subscriptions. Features can overlap, but billing responsibility is not interchangeable. xAI’s FAQ directs X Premium refund questions to X, while SuperGrok web billing is managed through grok.com.
3. If the web billing button does not open
xAI says ad blockers and other browser extensions can block the billing portal. Try a private window or another browser, temporarily disable the blocker for grok.com, and open billing while already signed in.
A blocked portal is different from a missing subscription. Confirm the account first, then troubleshoot the browser.
4. Understand the current usage system
A paid badge can be present while a feature remains temporarily unavailable because usage has been exhausted. xAI began moving paid users to a shared weekly usage pool in June 2026. That pool can be spent across Grok products instead of maintaining separate daily limits for each feature.
Check the usage screen before concluding that the subscription disappeared. A limit message and a billing/account problem require different fixes.
5. Avoid duplicate subscriptions
- Check grok.com billing.
- Check Apple Subscriptions.
- Check Google Play Subscriptions.
- Check the X subscription page if you use Premium or Premium+.
- Cancel or resolve the unintended plan through the platform that charged it.
6. Prepare a useful support request
Include the account identifier, payment platform, receipt date, charged amount, plan name, device, app/browser version, and a screenshot of the billing status. Never send a password, verification code, full card number, or session cookie.
